Instructional Technology

Through the 1:1 Technology Initiative, every student has access to a digital device.

Digital devices provide teachers tools to create engaging lessons, a better connection to families and prepare students for the digital world they will enter upon graduation. Libby Middle School is a STEAM school and while technology is important, it is a tool for students to explore Science, Engineering, the Arts and Math.

District Platforms

The Richland School District uses Canvas, Go Guardian Parent, PowerSchool, and Summit Learning platforms. Each platform is equally important to keeping track of your student's progress while at Libby Middle School.

GoGuardian Parent App

The district's IT department teamed up withGoGuardian, RSD's Chromebook web filter provider, to provide a companion application for parents called GoGuardian Parent that families may choose to use.

GoGuardian Parent provides parents the following frequently requested features for district-provided devices:

  • remote viewing of Internet browser history with verified parents/guardians
  • pausing of student Internet access during non-school hours
  • blocking of specific websites not already filtered by the district
  • scheduling of Internet availability during non-school hours

Parents must complete online opt-in request form to learn how to install GoGuardian Parent and link it to a child's device.
