Winter Sports Registration Begins Wednesday, October 13th

Winter I Sports Night 10/19 in the Libby gym at 6 PM.  Come meet the coaches and get important information.  Masks must be worn inside on school district property. Winter I Sports Flyer

Winter Sports open to 7th and 8th grade students only:

  • Boys Basketball*: starts 10/25
    • 7th tryouts from 2:40 - 4:10 pm
    • 8th tryouts from 4:15 - 5:45 pm
  • Dance Team: starts 10/25, times will be 2:30 - 4:00

*Please note: Basketball is considered a high risk sport by the WA State Health Dept. and WIAA.  Participants must either be vaccinated against COVID19 or be subjected to testing twice a week.  If your child is vaccinated, please provide our school nurse, Nicole Hart with a copy @ nicole.hart@rsd.edu. If your child is not vaccinated, we will need a consent form turned into our office/nurse.  Find the consent form here: COVID testing consent form.  This will all need to be done prior to tryouts.  Also, please register your child in SimpleReport which is the testing management site @ https://simplereport.gov/register/8VK8W.

General Information:

  • Athletes must register in FamilyID before participating: FamilyID. This must be done for each sport season your athlete is participating in.
  • Athletes must have a current physical on file before participating. It is good for one year. You can upload the physical form into FamilyID. physical form
  • A $20 ASB fee and $35 participation/transportation fee must be paid online or in the Libby office. online payments The ASB fee is one time only and the participation/transportation must be paid for each sport.

Middle school is a time to explore and learn new things. We encourage every Charger to get involved in their school whether it be with a sport, activity, club, etc. Richland School District has a no-cut policy. Every athlete will be placed on a team and receive playing time in which we hope they learn, improve, and have fun. We, as an athletic staff, look forward to a great year and all the upcoming seasons.

Fall: football, volleyball, girls soccer, boys soccer, and cross country
Winter I: boys basketball and Dance
Winter II: girls basketball and wrestling
Spring: baseball, softball, and track.
